DEBS!

I had my debs last wednesday in the pavilion in leopardstown. We paid 184 euro for the tickets....and ofcourse that wasn't the end of the spending. We had to think of how we wanted to get there...was it going to be a limo, party bus, a hummer or just get out parents to give us a lift - it was only around the corner. We had to sort out what we were going to wear, with the boys its not that hard, just go to the nearest blacktie or drycleaners and rent a tux. But for the girls its a different story. We have to track down every formal dress shop, look on the internet and if we're lucky enough look aboard and have to be very careful not to wind up with the same dress with another girl! Then we have to think about the finshing touches and by that i mean the makeup, hair, nails, tan, jewellery, shoes and a bag....which in the end could end up being near 200 euro..if you're lucky! That however is all before the actual debs itself! You also have to bring probably another hundred euro for drinks and maybe a taxi home early in the morning. The other annoying thing is COLLEGE! Trying not to miss important lectures and assignments. My week was a bit more eventful then just having my debs... it was also freshers week, my birthday on friday the 25th and i was attending a wedding the same day...down in Dingel!
A busy week indeed..but with all the spending i did for my debs and the wedding, i have to admit it was worth it!
